i just had Eibach Pro springs, Tokico adjustable struts, and new urethane bushing kit installed on my 73 240..now after reading how stoked you guys were about your cars after you had this done i couldn't wait to do it..but i'm bugged by my set up..it drives great..a bit stiff and i'm only on setting #2..cornering is sweet..stiffness i don't mind..but the sound sucks!..my rear sounds like a squeky bed on the smallest of bumps even..i don't mind feeling bumps but i'm hearing everything..you guys never mentioned this problem..he said he greased everything up..and my mechanic didn't switch out the tension rod bushings 'cause he said it's just to big a hassle and i wouldn't notice any way..what do you think of all this?

check the rear outer bushings

referencing your older post: squeky suspension, it sounds like the rear outer control arm bushes are shot. we had the squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, coming from the rear until i decided to get my feet wet for the spindle pin R&R. i could bounce the rear of our 280 up and down like in a strut test and i'd hear the squeak everytime.

what i would do is jack and support then thorough investigate WHERE the noise is coming from. to check for worn bushings at the rear control arm. grab the rear tires at 3 and 9 o'clock and try to move the tires side to side. if you can, take a good look at the rear spindle pin area. you may see an unusual amount of play.
