Today I was changing the spark plugs of my newly acquired 1984 300zx NA manual (107k mi), because of a slight hesitation on acceleration and poor gas milage. Mistakenly, I took out the first 2 spark plugs on the left side of the engine, before reading up on a forum, on how you should use an air compressor to blow out the area. I quickly reinstalled the plugs, then I blew out all the holes profusely. After installing the new plugs (with lots of difficulty) I hooked up the wires and cranked her over! When instantly, I hear something you never want to hear in an engine... a knocking noise. I have not touched the engine since and I'm regretting my life decisions. I don't remember dropping anything down the holes but who knows. I have recently rebuilt my Subaru's engine last fall and I am not ready for another huge project.
Here is a video of the sound...
Edit: as said in my reply, i fixed the issue. although she still stumbles a little, im wondering if its the chts or some sort of vacuum leak. thanks everyone!
