What is this click, or tick sound from the relay?

This morning driving in...I noticed this click sound....coming from the right side of the passenger area floor....where the relays are. It would click one time......then again....and again.....about every 7 seconds....it would click one time. Click....7 seconds...then click....7 seconds...then click.....I have never noticed this before. What is it? Is something wrong?
It's a 260 Z.....carbureted.

Just like a light switch clicks when you flip it, the relays click when they switch a circuit on or off.
Periodically switching on an off for no apparent reason sounds like a problem. Could be caused by a loose connection, the relay itself, or a problem in the circuit that operates the relay. It can be a real pain tracing it down - get out the wiring diagrams!
