My advice is to get a higher priced muffler if you got the money...the real cheap ones you see may look good, but you get what you pay for....for actual horsepower your gonna wanna pay a little more or else your just paying 75 bucks for sound and soon to be rust...as opposed to getting one for 150 dollars+, and getting both sounded and horses, but either are better than stock...I used a straight pipe in place of the cat and I like what it did...sounds weird when car is cold though, after it warms up it just makes the muffler a bit deeper and more of a rip sound...a good one though.

 

if you just want hp and sound is not an issue the go with straight pipe its better and it cost next to nothing to do

 

straight pipe is not the answer. you do i repeat do need a chamber muffler. which ever one you choose make it chamber and on 2. flowmasters are excellent all the way around. now for the cat i would striaght pipe that. if you want not bottom end and want to lose your take off the go with straight pipe.

 

Use a 93 probe turbo muffler, same as 300 just add a twin pipe in chrome. mine runs great with it and I had it installed for $72 including muffler.
