I need guidance to replace the headlight bulb in my 1975 280Z ?

I'm trying to replace the headlights on my 1975 280Z, and I'm a little confused, In my manual it say the head light is removed from the engine compartment, but there is no way it comes out of there, and the headlight housing is attached by 4 bolts to the body, but it doesn't say to remove it from the front of the fender ? How do I remove the head lambs ? :(

Thank you both, I have a 1975 Nissan 280Z factory service manual, and I found it, my car has some kind or splash guard or such in from of the front wheels, and I have to see if when it warms up a little this week if I can figure out how to remove the 'splash guard' without breaking anything, and the light get unplugged from the back I can bring the lights into my home where it is warm and I can change the lights then. I have new Halogen lightbulbs, & new headlight gasketing from Precision Products for the reinstall. Thank you again.

After you remove the inner fender guards if you still have them:
