Hmmmmm, well did read some of the old posts on Hitachi Radios, I think perhaps I didn't specify the problem completely, What I have is a Hitachi Radio that has just the spades for a wiring harness appearently, the wiring harness connector in the car is totally different, so somehow I need to get from point a (the radio) to point b (the harness) any suggestions?????

I dont really understand what your asking... the connections on the radio are different from the stock wiring harness? Do you have the harness that came with the radio?

No thats what I'm saying I do not have the harnessfrom the radio , just the radio itself. I'd like to either fabricate one or find one, but with no wiring diagram on the radio I'm kind of at a loss where to start with it, I just have the spades at the back of the radio.

You could "pin them 'Out", that means using a multimeter to find out what goes where. Start with the meter on ohms, put one lead on the chassis of the radio, touch the spades with the other lead. When you hit the one with ground, the meter should go to no resistance. (direct connect)
Now you can find the positive by opening the cover and looking for the internal fuse. The wire that leads to the fuse is usually the positve.
If there is no fuse you will have to "jump" the spades to find the positve.
To do this, use a very small 12 volt supply or hook some alkalines together to make up 12 volts.
Put the negative wire on the spade that is ground, turn the radio on, lighlty touch the positve wire to one of the nearby spades.
The positive is almost always right next to or by the negative.
YOu can eliminate a lot of the other spades by touching wires connected to a small speaker. any crackling sounds would indicate these are for speakers.

well there are two plugs that connect to the back of my hitachi...a big one and a smaller one. the color coded wires that connect to each plug are as follows (as viewed from the rear of the radio):

LARGER PLUG:

(white/green) (red) (blue)

(black) (white/black)

SMALLER PLUG:

(black) (black/red)

(white)

currently i'm playing my radio in my bedroom connected to a 12-volt battery charger ;) The black and blue wires on the larger plug is the power source (pos and neg); and the white wire on the smaller plug and the white/black wire on the larger plug connect to the speakers. this setup is for mono and sounds best with 8 ohm speakers (as opposed to 4). if you're careful, you can probably try testing out your radio by using small alligator clips to the spades and a fused line to the battery source.
