Flushing the cooling system...

I'm going to drain and flush the cooling system tomorrow, and I've been studying the Hayne's manual on how to do it. I located the Radiator drain plug, but wasn't able to find the engine drain plug(s). Where are they located??? The picture in the manual doesn't really show their location.

Thanks,
Brad

.A better way.

Pull the lower radiator hose & plug the radiator with a kids rubber ball.
Add water with a garden hose at the radiator cap.
Run water till clear.
Remove ball & flush radiator by putting the ball in the lower hose.

This will also test radiator flow. A clean radiator will take all the water you can get from a garden hose. If not clean the radiator.

You are probably flushing because the car heats. Check the radiator flow

replace the drain plug in the radiator when you do this . i had one seperate two years after the plug was put in for no good reason. my wife was driving the car when it happened and before she stopped it cost me a new motor due to overheating.no waterleft in the cooling system.
