just wiggle all wires since a bump in the road is prolly jostling them around.

Like mesc said maybe wires are loosecould be other things. Also have heard of something similar with spark plugs that are cracks in a specific spot. Try a full tune up and make sure the wires are holding good.

Check the large plug in for the pickup coil just outside the distributor, these like to come loose.

If you have a 2.5L four cylinder, check the tin plate under the pick up coil.
It is only held to the distributor shaft by a nylon pin, they like to come loose and cause the plate to wobble which causes eratic ignition.
If it is bad, go to your Chrysler dealer and get a reman distributor, they come with cap, rotor and pickup coil, excellent bargain if you need one.

Fuel pump relay,,,connector tight,,,relay good?

Power wires on coil,,,tight?

Battery connection tight,,no kidding,,I used to work in a Chrysler/Nissan dealership parts dept.

Try these easy ones, if these don't fix it, you could have a more in depth problem,,,such as bad fuel pump.

Well, it could be lots of things, as mentioned.

Car cuts out while driving... I think you're loosing thr rpm signal.
Crank Position sensor. Either it's bad (fails with heat) or a bad connection.

No crank position sensor on dodge with distributor in 96. Crank and cam sensor used with DIS on 3.3 and 3.8 v6. Would help to know for sure what motor is in the van, they used several different ones. They are also notorious for smoking fusible links in the harness right next to the master cylinder, usually wont run when that happens though.

MAP sensor, pickup coil are the usual culprits.
