I just got home from a fairly "spirited" drive i got out of the car and something smelled as if it were burning i popped the hood nothing there looked underneath nothing there as i was standing up i noticed m y brakes were making a hissing noise and so i smelled them and almost threw up it was soooo strong they have never been that hot before and i drive it hard all the time ......i had the pads replaced and i was gonna have the rotors done too but they said that they were fine.....its a pretty cool night soooo what is the issue.

oh and i dont have much stopping power but that could be just from them being sooo hot...

You could have one or more stuck or frozen calipers. This happened to me on a couple of BMWs I have owned. The discs got so hot you couldn't get near them until they cooled down.
The calipers could have some rust in them; that'll do it. Jack up the car, apply/release the brakes and see if the wheels still spin freely.
