I also noticed if I line up the mount holes in the back my transmission stick will hit the center console. Now im wondering if I have the right one or is it all universal?

It looks like you might be missing this lower bracket. It mounts the console on the two lower screws. The upper brackets are for the top.
Also looks like you're missing the oval shifter plate ring surround. That's why it looks like they don't line up. The oval ring goes on before the center console. The back part of the console with the three screws, they are all the same for 280z.

 

Looks like im missing mores stuff 🤣🤣🤣 well I found the bracket to the floor for the front of the console online it also seems that I will need the upper bracket since the previous owner deleted the ac so i have nothing on the upper either im going to throw a wild guess its on the AC unit/controls
