Hi
Ihave a 76 280 that I performed the turbo swap to 2 years ago.I can tell
you that you will need the engine wire harness,ECU,distributor,power-
transistor/coil,air flow meter,injectors,and a fuel pump upgrade.
My setup with starion IC,Gredy(sp)boost controller and T3/T4 turbo
has repeatedly dynoed at 264 RWHP and 347ft lbs torque@15psi.
I have also done a conversion for a friend with the SDS distributorless
system.The car is a 73 240 with fuel cell,8an braided fuel lines,Paxton-
fuel pump,RC engineering 550 cc injectors,Schieder turbo cam,Nissan-
reman. crate motor(stock),mild port matching and smoothing,Tubonetics
T3/T04E turbo,Apexi IC with 2 1/2 inch mandrel pipeing,full 3 inch mandrel
exhaust w/Apexi N1 muffler,custom 3 inch down pipe,HKS metal headgasket,
HKS EVC 4 boost controller and alot of other goodies. It is fully street driveable!
It is still in the tuning process but has dynoed 320RWHP & 350+ft lbs at
14 psi.The car was running really rich on this run and only had about 4000-
miles on it.As long as it is properly tuned it should be able to handle
20 psi which would be quite a bit more hp.Vented front discs and rear discs,
LSD,CV axle conversion are all being planned out for this summer.
Anyways sorry I rambled on and hope you get your swap done.It so much
fun to surprise that Mustang,Camaro or even Vette owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck,
Russell
