Recently I was given a new radio for my 1971 240. I had to diconnect the heater control cables to remove the center control panel prior to fitting the radio. Not having any prior experience in removing this panel resulted in the four cables being
removed at both ends from the heater and control levers.

I need a picture / diagram of the correct set up / routing of the control cables, from the panel mounted levers to the levers on the heater. I have several manuals
on ther 240z but none cover this hook-up of heater control cables.

If you look at the right side of the control unit (passenger side) the top cable goes to the thermostat valve. The bottom cable goes to the control flap on the blower motor.
On the left side (where yer feet go) the top cable goes to the top control flap, this feeds the dash, defrost etc. the bottom cable goes to the bottom controll flap which feeds the floor area. You wil see the flap that opens to where your feet go.
Unless your in the UK or Australia than the feet part is oposite ! Hope this helps.
If you have problems E mail me and I can send a diagram.

Your local library has repair manuals in the reference section. They are quite detailed for just such a problem and copies can be made for about a dime-not bad eh
