my two pipe collector at the bottom of the exhaust manifold has rotted through, i can get one off an 84. they look like two diiferent shapes, though they take the same gasket. So anyone know if they are indeed interchangeable? part numbers are different.

Quite a unique question indeed. Can a local exhaust shop fab up a nice collector pipe for you?
Last time I talked to them they either couldn't or wouldn't. Wanted beaucoup bucks to order a piece. The Z collector comes straight down. The maxima zig zags, but more importantly will it connect to the exhaust manifold.
