I have triple dcoe 40's on my 260. the webers add a lot of power. I have no lack of power all through the ranges. the 42's should be fine-maybe just have to play around with the jetting to get it right. should use K&N filters with them.

A friend of mine uses 40's on his 3.1 without any problems, it is a very fast car.

 

I didn't think they made 42's. I believe it went from 40-45-55. I may be wrong though.
