touring options

I am at the cross roads of selling my 280ZX an ordering a 350 now or waiting for the convertible next year. I spoke with a dealer that said the preorder would statrt sometime in February. My question is did anyone order the touring model with a 6 speed but 17 inch wheels. I cannot tell from the Nissan site if that is an option or the 18 inch wheels are the default with the 6 speed. Also has anyone seen any info on a projected yearly maintenance cost for the car?

I do not know about insurance on the 350Z, but other maintenance costs should be in line with any other type of car. I had an 85 300zx for 14 years and never found the maintenance costs to be any higher than any other car. The touring 6 spd comes std with 18" wheels.

18's are standard with the Touring 6sp. Maintenance should be basically the same as any other Nissan (very reasonable) except for the tires which will have a relatively short life and cost $$. It's the price you pay for FUN. In any case it should cost far less in $ and time than it would to maintain ANY european sports car.
