I have a 280zx that I have recently put a megasquirt ecu and harness into becuase I was having electrical problems with the stock harness. It is NA so I swapped the distributor from the stock NA one to the turbo one with cas. I have got the car to start and idle, the idle is a little rough but not terrible however when I try to rev it will not and instead will just start backfiring. Im assuming it is the timing I have tried to time it with a timing light but can seem to get the mark to line up. I put in the oil pump shaft and aligned the dots on it for the distributor timing at tdc. Im assuming this might be off a tooth or two even though I have adjusted it many times, but I was just curious to see if there were any other thought and opions on it. Thank you
