Hey everyone,
I’m from new york city, and I’ve recently found myself diving back into the world of classic Z cars. I used to be around them years ago, and after some time away from the hobby, the nostalgia hit hard. There’s just nothing like the sound and feel of these machines.

I joined the forum to reconnect with the community, share progress on some projects I’m planning, and learn from those who’ve been keeping these cars on the road for decades. Looking forward to swapping stories and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.

Thanks, I really appreciate the welcome! You’re right, there’s a ton of knowledge in this forum, and it’s great to see how much passion still surrounds these cars.

I have a 1978 Datsun 280Z , and it’s the one that really got me hooked on the Z line. There was just something about the way it handled and that straight-six sound that stuck with me.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the early Zs, especially the 240Z and 280Z models classic lines and pure driving feel.

I fell hard for a copper/tan 75 S30 Coupe w/ wire wheels in 76 as a 12 yr old kid. Fast fwd I'm on my 6th Z, a new RZ34 Heritage, 7th generation of the Z.

Perfect approach! We've seen folks come onboard asking why this or that won't work or I'm having trouble w/ XYZ and I what XXXHp Why can't I use this or that? people don't plan to fail, they fail to plan.

There are a lot of good restoration specimens out there. A good, clean, well maintained 280Z will run 15-20K. The same condition 240Z can fetch even more depending on its pedigree and VIN# esp. if a series 1

Ask away, any Q? Especially if your in the market to purchase, I would suggest getting a per-purchase inspection from a ZCCA member in your area area. Click here: ZCCA

Cheers,
Kevin
