Look for the turbocharger. If you don't find one, it's not turbocharged. If you don't know what a turbocharger looks like, click!

 

The non turbo looks like this. A boot connects the Air Flow Meter to the throttle body.

The turbo has a metal pipe from the turbo to the throttle body.

 

here is a pic of an NA engine (non-turbo)

You will notice that on a turbo engine there is a pipe that goes from the turbo into the throttle body. On the NA this does not exist. Airflow goes from filter to air flow meter to throttle body

 

It's real easy to tell if a car is a turbo, like others have said just look for the J-pipe. Or maybe the valve cover that says TURBO in giant letters.

 

I'm still looking for the word TURBO on the VC of my car. WOAH!! No "J" pipe.

Nope, don't see it yet.


Guys, give the dude some real info..

Look under the intake manifold for the turbo unit. It's directly below the intake on a stock or some what stock Z.

 

I must say that I envy Pallnet's setup.

 

That bay is sooo tidy and clean....

a man that is a turbo car man i wish i where u i think u even have a intercooler but cant tell for sure take more pics and post and i can tell

 

is there a thing that looks like a radatior in there front grill if there is then yea it is a turboed car and it has an intercooler
