I own this 280z and also a 1970 240z first gen. located in Tx. I'll post a pic of the 240z next to the 280. My 240 steering is great with 15 in tires/rim. However, my 280 steers very hard. It has 18in rims/tires the tires are not too wide with no obstruction. What could be my issue. The 280z is all stock except for the ground effects, paint and undercoated even under the hood no rust never had and body work with 112000 miles. no accidents. My 240z is not stock cam headers rebuilt with approx 700 miles on the engine.

The issue is tires and wheels. The 280 wasn't designed for them.
The 18s may fit, but they're the cause.
