When my car is cold - it starts fine, idles higher and as it warms, the idle slows to normal. At this point if I give the car gas - at around 1500 rmp the car hesitates and spits. I can get past 1500, but not quickly.
It will continue to do this for a few minutes until the car has warmed up more. Once hot, then I have performance again throughout the rpm range. In fact, the car runs like a top when it is hot - from idle to redline.
It is this post idle warm-up when the engine is not hot yet, that I get this annoying hesitation and backfire and can't give it too much throttle.
