Trying to take my camshaft off to take it to the cylinder head shop. Or else they'll charge me like 50 bux more.
Anyway I can't figure out how to take it off. I have the Haynes manual and from what it sez I take the thrust plate off and I guess slide the cam out of the journals. It seems kinda crazy to me though because the cam is putting pressure on the rockers how would you get it back in and it would scratch the cam wouldn't it? Can't I just unbolt bearing out from the head?
I looked everywhere for a procedure and I can't find any online. I can't find any torquing procedures anywhere also. I know on my eclipse you take the caps off and you have to reinstall them in a spefic order and torque.
