84' 300zx turbo-dies after jump start, has new battery and its fine. After I jump start it everything works and I can ride but if I cut it off I have to re-jump it. Can anyone tell me what is the cause of this, and how to fix it?

Have you personally fully/load-tested the battery? Some batteries are crap right off the shelf. Because a jump just carries a current from one battery to the other. So it's either really gunked up terminals (clean those, it can only help), or a crap battery.

ok if you have a multi meeter or any thing that messures voltages in 12V will work. so ok start off by checking the batter while the car is off. should have 12v. now when you turn the car on messure the volts on the battery again you should have 13.somthing volts. than turn your head lights andhigh beam and blower motor on. now you should still get a 13.somthing reading
which means your altonator is working. now you not done yet. what you have to do next is the same procces but you hook up the power part of your multi metter where the altonators power cable goes too. than obvusly ground the other cable on you metter, you should be getting the smae readings of 13. somthing.

If your receving 12.3 12.7 pretty much anything other than a 13. your altonator is not working properly.

the original battery cable terminals are prone to cracking after being overtightened over the years. they seem to tighten but don't. Do you actually have the original cables or did someone cut off the terminal and put the one size fitall clamp ons there. they are a problem waiting to happen if you have those get real cables. with good terminals. Get the battery load tested freee most places.
