'83 L28 gasket matching head to intake manifold

I have gasket matched the head. When I went to gasket match the intake manifold, I found that the holes are smaller by about 1/2 the size of the gasket.
My question is, should I grind out the intake manifold to match the gasket, or should I leave it alone.

Worry about port matching..match the head to the intake. But if you don't mind porting work, go a head and enlarge it...just make sure it is the same as the head..for intake ports. It is better to have the head ports larger, than to have the intake manifold ports larger...get it? so don't go crazy with the manifold, if the head intake ports are smaller ok?..it will disrupt the airflow when the air/fuel hits that little wall at the trasition from the intake manifold to the head intake port.
