Where did the floor pan lip weld. My original was over the groove and the groove was filled with a black material. Does it weld to the bottom lip of the groove?

I'd hate to give you a specific measurement based on the lip only to find you have a different brand of floor replacement pans than I had and the edges that weld to the inner rocker have different dimensions. My first thought is line up the front and back of the floor pans where they should be and that will tell you where the edge welds to the inner rocker. My second thought is to recommend watching a few floor pan replacement videos on youtube and pause them when you get a good look at the area in question.
