I have a 77 280z and i was wondering about putting a zx turbo motor into my car. First of all i want to know if all zx motors are straight sixes. I am not sure if it is possible to put it in my car. I am wondering if it will bolt in easily; or if there would be any trouble with the fuel injection or any electricle troubles.
Please inform me of my possobilities.

Thanks for the help.

heres what i know

You can bolt in a turbo motor. It will require some electrical expertise though. The dude by the name of Frame relay did this exact swap. He loves it... supposedly reallyy fast!

From what I understand, all the ZX (70-83) blocks were from the same base or very similar (let me know if I'm wrong). The larger straight sixes were just bored out versions of the smaller displacement ones. Engine should bolt up very easily. As far as injection vs. carbs, you might have to customize a little, but you shouldn't have to do much extra.

Anyone let me know of any false information I've just given, this is my first engine swap.
Good luck.
