Hi,

I need to know if the 79-83 ZX has an inline brake proportioning valve like the 240/260/280. Can anyone tell me for sure? It might be called something else, but basically it would keep the rear wheels from locking earlier than the fronts.

An NP (Neutral Pressure) valve regulates the fluid pressure in the brake lines so that all wheels receive equal pressure. That is the only valve I could find, courtesy Haynes. Happy Brakin.

whether its a NP or a pressure regulator the ZX has one. I took one off my 82. Seems like it was bolted to the firewall behind the engine but its been a few years and many more beers, good luck.
