Hey guys, I’ve got a small predicament here. My 87 ZX sat for a little while, probably a month or a little longer, and the battery ran slam dead in that time. So I charged the battery back up with my truck and some jumper leads. And I sat there and tried to crank it several times, the engine would turn over and every once and a while it would fire, but it wouldn’t stay fired long. You could rev it and it would stay running for a little while, then I revved it some over and over, and then it cut out at about 2500 RPM. I don’t thing the RPM it was at had anything to do with it, that was just what it was at when it died. My best guess was that maybe the fuel injectors could be gummed up and not injecting properly. But I am the least qualified person to make a guess. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

First thing I would do is to take the battery out and bring it to Autozone to have it tested. Next I would inspect the main electrical connectors for corrosion.
