I have a Z that's going to require some professional attention, and I would rather take it to someone who knows and loves Z's. Back in Tampa, there was Z-fever, and Z-Doctor, and a place called Everything Z, I think. Here, though, I looked in the yellow pages, and nobody's business has "Z" in it. Can someone help me with the names of the Z garages around Charlotte?

I was there for 6 months and didn't find anything, except alot of those shops were you take your car in to fix one thing and when you pick it up you've got 6 more things to fix!

There are alot of race shops around with talent but nobody could point me to any good shops.

hello if i were yoy i'd go on line and look up z clubs in Charlotte or that area...they might be able to help you...good luck michele in florida..

I have been in Charlotte now for 8 months, I haven't seen any Z shops around here. What year Z do you have, and what type of work do you need done? I may be able to help you.

I have an '83 280zx 2+2 NT.
I'm not exactly sure of what kind of work I need to get done; I'm unable to get my car legal, 'cuz I'm failing emissions. I'd like someone to look at it who knows Zs, rather than these local good-ole-boys who think foreign cars are automatically crap.
I'm guessing that I may need a new cat. converter, and I may possibly have a leak somewhere in the compression chamber. I think I also have a leak somewhere in the oil system. I replaced the sending unit last spring, but the leak has not stopped; it's only slowed. Now, instead of a big oil puddle, I have a small one.
There's quite a few things I'm gonna need done to it, and unfortunately, I have neither the tools nor the expertise to do it myself.

The name of the most reputable shop in Charlotte that knows Z's well and has a good reputation is NISSTECH these guys are master techs and they are good guys that are honest. Thank GOD I haven't had to have anything major done but they are always straight with me and reasonalble on the budget.

Thanks, Mag! That's some great info. I have plans to join the Z club you mentioned, but I want to wait until my Z is in a more.... presentable state.
