I have a 79 280zx and tonight i was driving down a high way doing about 80 85 and it was running great then i go into a city and everytime i punched it she starts to die and chokes out but it never stalls so i went and put a new fuel filter in it and it seemed to fix the problem after i drove it about 13 miles it started doing it again it seems like shes only doing it when shes warm and i just put new water pump and new belts on it. on one injector its damp with gas but its not pouring out. if i floor it it dies but still makes it was up there i dont know if its the fuel pump or maybe the injectors need to be cleaned it still idles like a champ so its all wacked out
if anyone can help this old z out it would be greatly appreciated

Check the water temp sensor. Look at all the FI connector for corrosion and pay close attention to the water temp sensor connector... it is the boss of the FI system. Get a factory service manual too... has all the test procedures and wiring diagrams.
