Wire In Distributor--Where To Buy?

Within the single-point distributor on the 71 240Z, there is a wire that is screwed to the back of the breaker points and the other end attaches to the screw that affixes the condenser wire. Where can this wire be bought? Would this wire, if bad, keep the Z from starting? Thanks, Ernest
