just wondering if i add some ATF in my 5spd, will it thin my gear oil a bit...i put some thick gear oil in my car and im too lazy to drain the gear oil and add more oil again plus i dont have a good tool to remove the tranny drain plug. ive been having problems switching gears in the cold mornings because the thick gear oil. thanks for the information in advance.

I would'nt do that... get off your lazy butt and use a 1/2" drive ratchet to remove the drain plug! Jeez, that is lazy! I would recommend using Redline MT-90 for your tranny oil. You will need to buy 3 qts, but the tranny will only take 2 1/4qts. The diff will take 1 3/4qts (need to buy 2qts) of Redline 75-90 gear oil. You can order it online from http://www.auto-motor-oil.com/redline.html Free shipping if order is over $30.00. You probably can find it localy, look in the yellow pages in the automotive section. Look for racing, performance supply houses. Average price is $7-8 per qt. It will help shifting in cold weather, ect. Highly recommended.

ok ok fine ill buy oil...

geez john cant i just relax and do it the cheap way...hehe i was just lazy cuz i caught the flu and didnt want to do too much work on the car today....ahhh ill go get some redline again...thanks take it easy
