Just got hold of an 82 maxima diesel this weekend want to know what kind of set up you all are running out there. I dont know if I should run 87 or 89 mm pistons.Want to know if you all have had any block problems boring to 89 such as overheating and oil consumption . thanks

I am using the LD 28 crank. I am using the 89mm bore. There is so much to consider with what affects what. Stick with something bigger than 87. Check out my page, and my link to the IZCC page, on my link page. The IZCC page, under how to modify your Z for more HP, has a section for L6 engines. It has two things from me, a FAQ written by Steve Golik, which has part nubmers, etc... And the write-up by the Georgia Z car club. Those three,(mine, Georgia's, and IZCC), are your best bets, and really the only info out there on it.

I have some of the other parts your going
to need to build your motor. Let me know if
there's something you need. I'm looking for
a diesel head and maybe intake. I have
built a couple of stroker motors. Your best
of not excedding .080 over size pistons.
