How can I tell what head i have on my 280zx?
Is the number stamped on the side or something?
Also i have and 83' and a 79' 280zx which head should I use for more compression
If the 79' is the one should use does it have round exhaust ports, I need to find out before i tear into the 79' since the headers on my 83' are round port I would like to know before I go through all of the work to take the head off the 79'
thanks for the advice

will I be able to run the N47 on regular pump gas or will i need octane booster?
I have heard from one guy that 92 to 93 octane will work fine with out pinging,
and another guy told me that I would have to use octane booster?
Thanks for The info.

The block is stamped down low by your oil pan. Unless someone has swapped the block it should be a f54. The compression and pinging question has many variables. If you add a performance cam and a slightly thicker head gasket you will drop the compression a little which reduces your chance of pinging. Keep in mind raising your compression by itself will not make a huge difference in h.p.
