I'll be getting a '78 L28 tomorrow if things go right. It has a blown head gasket, but that isn't a concern. I have an early 260 with stock L26 (E88 head). If I'm pulling the head off the L28 anyways and pulling the L26 motor out, would it be to my benefit to rebuild my E88 and put it on the L28 or use the exsisting head. I'll be running the early SU's and going w/ a mild cam. I have the "how to rebuild" book, just wish I had the "how to modify" book. When is it ever going to be in stock? Please email me directly.
