Where can I get a manual for the 77 280z? I know they are out of print but it seems that someone mentioned a place that would make them for you.

The '77 Chilton's Z manual is not out of print; J. C. Whitney has them for $16.99 at (312) 431-6102. The title of the manual is 70-88 Nissan/Datsun 240Z, 260Z, 280ZX & 300ZX, and the Whitney stock number is 81KX2486A.

If you want an original, out-of-print Datsun manual, try a search at the American Book Exchange site: <A HREF=http://www.abebooks.com>http://www.abebooks.com</A>. Good luck with your Z!

Ask them for the 1977 280Z Service Mnaual
They also have Owners Mnuals for $15.
They will photocopy the entire service manual and send it to your return address. I got my '77 service manual from them and it is pretty decent.
