Hi everybody,

Just was curious where the neg battery cable is supposed to hook up? Mine is attached to a bolt on the starter housing. But, I would think it should be connected to the chassis somewhere, since that's where everything is grounded to. I know there are several straps from the block to the chassis, but my set up seems backward. I can't find anywhere to hook it up on the chassis, however. Thanks!

Re: Where is the negative battery cable supposed t

Since your starter has the capacity of drawing in excess of 500 amps and electricity travels the path of least resistance to the starter bolt on the block is the correct placement. If you hook it direct to frame and not to engine you ( WILL) fry some wires in the harness and equipment ie.ECU , anything that goes back to the engine to complet it's circuit .

Actually, there are two places on the ZX that it gets connected to. The top starter bolt, and mid cable to the side of the battery tray. If you look on the front corner on the engine side of the tray, there is a bolt hole for the cable.
