I have a 73 240, and the fusible link btw the alternator and everything else fried the other day. Where exactly is it located. I smelled the slight burning, then had no charging. I cannot find it in the engine bay, so I assume it is in the passenger compartment somewhere. Any ideas?

Saw where one is listed for the alt. on my ' 72 on a wiring diagram, not where it's supposed to be. However the one attached to my starter solenoid is not on the diagram, gotta be it. Looks like a plain white plastic connector.

shooz is right, The only one is connected to the starter solenoid. I just replaced mine, as the old one was onl hanging on by a few wire threads. They can get really corroded at the solenoid end.
