What's worse, carbs running rich or poor. And my car hesitates and won't pass 5000rpm. Can anyone answer these problems? Thanks.

It's worse having them run poor. You can end up doing most of the work on 3 cyl. while the other 3 may be running lean and this is a bad condidtion. Check out your plugs to see if this is happening, get a good sync tool and make sure they are synced. Do a good tune up first though, I've had bad points act like this, and see if the carbs need to be rebuilt. Check out the float levels, make sure your getting a proper fuel pressure/make sure fuel pump is working/add fuel pressure regulator to the carbs. Also get a better K&N air filter setup, check out the gas filter/replace if needed.
