Flowmaster is by far the best exhaust on the market. Go with 2.25 or 2.5 stainless pipe with a 2 or 3 chamber muffler. Sounds like a dream, and frees up alot of horses. (OK not alot, but noticeable)

just my opinion

When you say Flowmaster is the 'best' what do you mean? Durability? Good airflow? Good noise suppression? Loud resonance for waking up the neighbors?

We all have different requirements. Mine would be durability and lack of noise.

I have a 2.5 inch with a flowmaster on my '77. It's great above 2400 RPM as far as sound and a bit of extra power, however, the resonance at low RPM is annoying. Anybody know of a fix for this, or a way to reduce it?

New release from Flowmaster

Flowmaster has recently released a new muffler design called Delta Flow which they claim has reduced sound and the annoying resonance. $89.95 at Summit (1-800-230-3030)
