It wounds like Yo2001 has a good idea (disconnect the remote wire on the starter). I have not read all of the above responses to your post, but someone mentioned removing the distributor rotor). I think I am going to begin doing both. If the culprit finds and plugs the remote wire, gets in the car and tries to start it, he is probably not going to have time to keep fumbling around in and out of your car.
