Hi, I just received a used N42 block. I am now disassembling the motor, and would like to know how I can check the condition of the block. I already have a reconditioned head, so, that's not as big of a concern, but I wanna make sure that the block I'm putting it on is in good condition. What should | check?? Also, what do people usually replace when they put a used motor in a car?? Thanks in advance!! It's a 71 car btw.

are you kidding, as long as you are inside check everything other wise dont bother and put it in the car.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING THAT BLOCK FOR A PERFORMANCE MOTOR. YOU SHOULD BRING IT TO A REPITABLE ENGINE BUILDER AND HAVE THE COMPLETE BLOCK MAGNAFLUXED. ALL INTERNAL PARTS MAGNAFLUXED, HEAD FLOURESCENT PENETRANT INSPECTED. THAT'S WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WAS TO BUILD A SERIOUS MOTOR.!!!
