i should have known better to ask that-i'm not looking at making it lighter, i'm looking at getting rid of some stuff to clean up under the hood. i already tried that mice thing, it doesn't work-they fly out at 100.

You need the high-speed ball-bearing mice.
Seriously, it sorta depends on what you can live without. The Cannister you mention would be a good candidate but be sure you deal with the hoses correctly.
You could toss air conditioning (I did), curise control (I didn't) etc.
I think it would really clean up the engine compartment to replace the factory fuel rail with a billet unit or IdealZ's. You could also replace the throttle linkage with a cable type (especially if you toss the cruise).
Move the battery to the spare tire compartment and the windshield washer tank to where the battery was.
Now form a stainless cover to fit over the cruise control stuff (if you kept it) and you're looking good.
