you asked this exact question on Z31.com. they told you that it would be a ton of work for less power! why do you keep asking about it? the VG series V6 has a lot of potential and is a tough engine.

Hmmm, I'd say don't do it.

It's a special model that really shouldn't be changed that much,

You could spend your money on modding the VG30ET that you already have in your car,

But then again... who cares what I think?!?

Why do the RB20DET swap when you'll be able to do the the RB25DET or RB26DETT swap soon, thanks to Mckinney motorsports. They are coming out with a kit soon to swap either of those engines into a Z31 300ZX. But hey, it's your car. Do what you want. Thing is. You have to pay for the engine, trans, installation kit, wiring and other stuff. Then if you want more HP, then you gotta pay for that too. Well you could just start modding the VG since you have it in your car allready and it's all paid for. So either spend money on the RB swap plus extra money if you want to modify it or just start spending money hopping up the VG (Which should be alot less in the end)
