I have two identical cores (the ones that came from HKS for the ZXT) they are 10x10x2.5
I am thinking of welding the together.
my only worry is the possibility of losses due to the possible turbulence created in the area where the air exits the first core and tries to enter the 2nd one.

what do ya think
I am thinking about privinding sort of space between the cores to allow air to get together before entering the 2nd one
I wanna be clear... I am not saying that I am going to connect 2 cores. I am thinking about removing a tank from each one and weld the CORES together.

any input?

BTW I want new piping for the intercooler what do ya think is the best option I hate the mufler shop benders to death.
I am thinking about getting some bandrel bet u's and cut and weld as needed
any input on that too?

welcome back to the performance world, carlos. I'd cut and weld those intercoolers if it's not going to cost too much. It's done all the time. All the Spearco units are just a bunch of basic size cores stacked together to make the right size. You might be better off selling those units and buying one the right size. I saw a 2.5X31X11 brand new Spearco unit the other day for $400. interested? Order the mandrel bends and either make your own piping, or take it to a muffler shop and have it done. Order a bunch and build that 3 inch downpipe while you are at it. Good luck

I think I am better of selling the intercoolers
what do ya think f a $175 asking price.
those are lot better units than the starions and eclipses.

and YES I am interested in getting that $400 intercooler. I think 31 is too much but i'll make it fit
<grin>

thanks

Tried to email you, Carlos. Came back as undelivereable.Is the old email address still good (zlovr?) Contact me about the intercooler. I'd post the contact info here, but wouldn't want someone else to nab it first! $175 would be plenty fair for HKS units. You could probably sell a starion unit for that much. I'd start out asking $250 for them.
