My 83ZXT is awsome.....untill I hit 3000rpm's it then acts as if someone hit a switch. It starts to backfire through the intake, pulls me forward due to the sudden deceleration. it will run ok if I don't give it full throttle after 3000rpm's, like at crusing on the freeway, but the minute I punch it to pass there goes the backfiring, and crappy deceleration.
This just started, thought I had everything fixed, then this happens. Here is what I think it could be:

O2 sensor?
Cloged cat?
cloged pickup in the gas tank (hope not cause the tank is full)
Fuel pump on it's way out (sounds fine though)

All injectors sound normal and I replaced the fuel filter today thinking that was my problem...didn't fix it though

Could it be the PCV valve? My book says it could be the TAC vacuum motor or valve (What the **** is that and where is it?)

Thanks for the help,
Josh
