Any recommendations out there as to which grind to go with for an L26 engine with ported head, running approx. 10:1 compression ratio, with dual rountop SU's jetted for maximum performance/drivability, on a Z used as a daily driver, but don't want to get beat by kids with gotees and Nike hats in hopped up Honda Civics at traffic lights?

I recomend something with 290-300% duration and .500-.600 lift. More lift equals more power, lift doesn't play a part on drivability. Longer duration means a less drivable car, but with 10:1 290-300% should be drivable.
