Thanks for the recommendation, Bon. I called Steve earlier today and he mentioned he shys away from radios these days as they’re often problematic.

darn. well, it was worth a try. Steve is great though... he usually goes out of his way to get us parts for our problemchild cars hahaha

He sure is! He's connecting me someone he knows who repairs Z radios.

Thought I'd try here for a replacement here in the meantime . My radio has been at Southern Electronics since January and I'm officially being given the run around, so now I'm impatient and want a radio for cruising this spring and summer!

man, if only I still owned my 87 car.... I'd just send the radio to you!
why don't you just have an updated cd/radio installed for the time being? and then whenever you acquire a factory unit, you can swap it back.

Haha man, I wish! That'd be too easy.

I have a couple of leads at the moment so hopefully won't have to go to the aftermarket option, but it's a good plan b!
