I intermittently get a vibration or rumble as the car accelerates past 25-2700. There seems to be a bump in the acceleration in this range as well, almost hesitating Is this the valve timing changing?

i've ran code 34 for a looong time. When i was running it, it would be very slow in low rpm ranges and act funny.

Of all the Nissans I have and

have had, the 27-3k range is when the VG engine seems to really shine and start to pull hard. Now that stated there should be a smooth pull to that range no "bump". I would start by running the codes on the car. That will give you an overall birds eye view of the sensor status that controls the engine. As for the vibration the Z32 has a nasty habit of shelling out the center carrier bearing on the driveshaft. There are ways to diagnose that but you say its intermittent. Could you supply more detail such as does it appear worse when cold or hot. Running in neutral or in gear, does the rumble come from under you or more toward the front?
