As you guys know, I had a little timing belt incident a few weeks ago, and since were this far tearing it down, we decided to rebuild it. I'm doing the labor, and was wondering if you guys could tell me the lowest cost place to purchase pistons, rings, gaskets, etc for a compete rebuild. And just curious, what was the 0 - 60 time for a stock 300ZX Automatic in 85 if tuned to Nissan specs? And what can I do, in simple things, to my engine while I rebuild it to get a little more horses out of it, Thanks!

raise compression, introduce more air, better upper intake, camshafts, larger injectors. I think that would be about it on Major things, on youre N/A motor. And of course, Headers. If you do all of the above, and exhaust system.

I would say turn it into a turbo motor...if you're looking for speed.

In 1985 the 300 ZX non turbo had 160 hp and a 0-60 time of 7.9 at a 1/4 mile time of 17.2
