Yes. It's been done.
Yes. I'm sure you could use your transmission, but you'd need a custom bell housing.
I think you haven't priced out a VG30DETT and all needed parts and compared it to the cost of a used VG30e(t) or VG33e.
Why are you comparing the cost to an RB swap?
AZ_ZBum you act as if this topic has been covered by multiple people and that some of those people even posted youtube videos about it and that there is a website dedicated to this idea of swapping engines into Zcars and that if you searched for "VG30DETT swap" that you would get relevant information and...........

In the words of phxZ31 - "When I say overrated, what I really mean is this: There is a reason why EVERY noob brings up the VG30DETT swap but nobody really ever bothers to go through with it. With the same amount of money spent on a VG30ET, you will end up with more power and less work."

There is TONS of information about this swap. That AND for your spoon feeding pleasure: www.hybridz.org, www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfHPbJQK2J8 (for a bonus watch part 2!), 300zxclub.com/showthread.php?threadid=1883&highlight=NA+to+TT+swap
why do i compare it to price of an rb? well an rb was my first choice of engine for swapping. i was just wondering about the z32 engine simply because it would be cheaper for me to get one. but more work to get it in im sure.

The VG30DETT would be far less work. It would also be far cheaper in the long run unless you live in Japan or can source parts for a 200ZR. Something tells me you don't though.
